2wd backspacing

Hey guys, I have a friend who drives a 2002 f350 crew cab 2wd, with a leveling kit, he can get a great deal on some 08 20 inch rims and tires. I realize on a 4wd these need wheel spacers/adapters if one wishes to run them but because he has a coil suspension he will have no leaf spring rubbing, does this mean they should bolt on for him with no rubbing issues or are there other issues which will arise.
thanks for any answers

Well I did not lift mine at all and I have a 2001. Everything was great without wheel adapters with the 06 18" rims as far as bolting up and ride etc. The problem I had was in hard turns it would rub and I purchased wheel adapters and it has worked fine so far. If you go this route be sure not to purchase wheel spacers as they will not work and are a safety hazard as I found out. I have a thread going on right now about this topic if you search under my posts you will see it. If you have questions let me know if I can help
