HID Fix

I'm installing HIDs on my truck. I'm pretty sure I have everything hooked up correctly, and everything works except for one of the high beams. Does anyone know what can be wrong?

did you try swapping bulbs to see if it was a bulb problem.

I am still waiting on my kit to arrive, but from what I have read the high low beam is done with magnets in the bulb, so I would start there.

I think it is a bulb issue because the same light wasn't working again. Although, the one that does work is having issues too. Now when I turn on my high beams it works on the drivers side, but when I turn my high beams off it still stays on high beam.

Idk. I got my kit in the mail yesterday, Mine didn't work right either, all wired up right, and one headlight came on that's it. Hope that the two different brands of hid ballasts are not gonna be a problem.

hey I was having the same problem as you, just figured out what mine was. One of the connectors had a wire lose/out of place. Pushed it back all the way in, and lights work perfect.

I have two different brands. One I am not sure of where it came from, the other is from ddmtuning.

That's what I figured. I had them on my Ranger too. Were installing the bulbs with the high beams any different than the ones without? For me it was just plug and play.
