Head lights

I got a 01 f450 that's got the two piece headlights still and I just bought a set of 06 headlights for a good price. Will they fit right In or did I waste my money? Would like to know before I tear it apart

It's not a direct fit but with a little trim work to your header they will fit right in. You will also need to splice into your pigtails to fit the new h13 bulb that they take. I just did it to my truck and a few hours later I was done.

I'm pretty sure it is. They use the 9007 plug and the new ones use the h13 plug. I had to sell my HID's from my old lights.

There's a bunch of different threads on here that show you what to trim off to make the new lights fit right in.

Dont just splice on the new bulb sockets... google GOS Racing order the proper adaptor relay harness. It's about $80 shipped and will allow best operation of the newer style headlights. Allows full battery voltage to the bulbs and greatly reduces load on the dimmer switch. As an electrican I highly recomend it.

Cutting the fiberglass panel behind the lights to fit the newer ones is an easy task with a sawzall/grinder/rotozip on hand. Easiest if removed from truck...
