Need to fix my shortbed cross support

Like many people I've seen up here in New England, my cross supports on my shortbed are rotting out. I'm most likely gonna flip the bed over and weld square tubing underneath in place of them. My question is, what size is it if anyone has done it before, and is it possible to just get the cross members from ford, seein as a new shortbed takeoff is 3500$ . Any help is appreciated, and if anyone has a bed or a wreck, or anything. Let me know. The further I get into this, Ill take pics and possibly do a write up on it for the next guy. Thanks.
