yes the reason he had to trim is b/c with out doing the bumper also it has to be trimmed it fits like normal with the 05-07 bumper

Thats good to know, is the 05-07 bumper a direct bolt on? I guess there would still be issues with the lower mounting tabs but should be easy enough to sort out.

I am not sure about that I think it is but maybe someone who has done the mod can answer

I tried to look around at some sites that sell bumper brackets and a few of them listed the same part for both the 99-04 and 05-07 trucks but a couple OEM Ford sites had them listed differently. I would think the mounting location on the frame would be the same but the brackets may be different.

What about the headlights from the 05-07, do those fit?
