New Mirrors
Aparently my Lariat came from the factory with everything I needed for towing except a brake controler and a decent set of mirrors.
I have the small ones that I can't see squat out of. I have been told I can get the larger ones that were later standard equiptment that will bolt up and plug into my 99. I read that I can't just use a set off of a newer truck cause the plugs for the electric mirrors are diffrent. Any insight or recomendations for companys that make them. Ford offers a set but at 280.00 they are a bit salty. |

I had the same problem. Ihaggled the price at thedealership down to 240. They come with adapters to make them plug to whatever setup you have. I have an 02 and didnt need the adapters. They plugged right back in to where the old ones did. Iheard to be leary of the ones on Ebay. Iread they were made of thinner plastic and would fade quickly. Hope this helps ya.

Depends... do you want the heated, lighted, electric ones? If so pony up 500 bucks.
Do you want the run of the mill TT mirrors with just electric? You should be able to take them off a junkyard truck and keep the wiring and it should work for your truck. |

I just want the power windows. Not interested in anything else.
If I were going to get junk yard mirrors what model should I order to ensure I get the right ones and not what I have? Did the 2000 model year have the large mirrors stock? |

Wow just did a car-parts.com search. at 100.00 each (pretty much the cheapest without deeps scratches) I will just buy a set from Ford.
