thats a good idea just cut it so it will mount flush I don't know if it would work but it might be worth a try anyone else try to do that the only problem is if you cut them and then it did not work you are out $189

the red plastic would be hard to cut...its the chrome frame around it and that read is 1/2+ inch deep. worth the try but i dont think its worth it. billetbadges.com has just stick on ones, no big hole to cut but i think it looks tacky.

yeah I saw those yesterday I there look like a stick on I just need to cut my fenders and be done with it b/c I really like them

Well I have really also been considering this...Did you notice a drop in operating temp or any power differences??? Or is it 100% cosmetic???

Its pretty much just cosmetic. You can feel some air being sucked in at idle, but its nothing drastic. I figure it could work "somewhat" like the zoodad mod, but not as well.

I did not notice any power differences or temperature differences. I believe that on the 08 trucks, it just allows more air under the hood because of all the stuff crammed in there. (dont quote me tho.)

I got the vents because I liked the look and it would be something different.
So for me, they work, and look FREAKEN SWEET!
