Its pretty much just cosmetic. You can feel some air being sucked in at idle, but its nothing drastic. I figure it could work "somewhat" like the zoodad mod, but not as well.
I did not notice any power differences or temperature differences. I believe that on the 08 trucks, it just allows more air under the hood because of all the stuff crammed in there. (dont quote me tho.) I got the vents because I liked the look and it would be something different. So for me, they work, and look FREAKEN SWEET! If you need any help or have questions, let me know.
