Aftermarket Eagle Eye 05-07 Conversion Mod

Just got a pair of Eagle Eye 05-07 clear lens headlights from headlight depot in today.

Anyone who has installed these into their 99-04, can you tell me whether I'll need to do any cutting/modding to the header panel or anything else or is it just a simple plug and play?

I have the MKM customs grille that's prefitted and am going to keep the stock bumper for now. I also have the Riff Raff harness from Clay for the headlights.

Cheers!

Re: Aftermarket Eagle Eye 05-07 Conversion Mod

Yup yer gonna need to cut the hedder panel.... wish I had the link for ya... someone posted a picture with lines drawn on it where to cut. Not hard to do. Ive done 2 trks. Takes me about an hour or up to two start to finish. I have a sawzall with metal blade, rotozip (drywall cutout tool) and angle grinder with cutoff disk on hand and they make things real easy. Also some basic hand tools... 1/4" drive metric ratchet set with 6" extention.... prybar to pop out the plastic pop-in pins in a few places.

I almost finished the conversion today using Eagle Eye aftermarket headlights. Got everything to fit pretty well but wasn't sure how to fasten the top of the headlights. I used the existing screws for the bottom of the light but didn't have the same hardware assembly on the new lights as the original lights. So for now, I've used zip ties to secure the tops of the lights.

I know DFuser has some fasteners for the tops but am unsure of what exactly they are.

Any ideas?

Not sure how the 05-07 headlights would attach to your head panel (or lack of a header panel) but these are the screws and clips needed to attach the 05-07 headlights to the 05-07 header panel...

I kept the 99-04 header panel and did the cutting instead. Where did you get those clips? Not sure if they'll work with the 99-04 HP...

I bought a kit for my old truck (an '01) when I did the 05-07 front conversion. I needed the clips (but later found out that I didn't need them because the header panel I ordered came with them)

EDIT: I can try to find the kit I ordered, but to be honest - these clips are so generic, you can find them at Lowe's/Home Depot/ACE Hardware/etc for close to 50 cents a piece.

Ah I see.

I did lights from headlight depot, grille conv. from MKM Customs and harness from Riff Raff. All I need are some fastnets for the top as zip ties will do for now. If you can rembrr where you got those with the 05-07 kit it'd be much appreciated. I may also find something at my local hardware store.

Cheers!

Actually, it turns out that you already posted it. It was from D-Fuser.

The very bottom, where it says "Choose Headlight Hardware (SS Screws, Washers, and U-clips) for 05/07 Headlight conversion:" that's the kit that I got. Those 4 screws and U-clips - for $15. Definitely not worth it. Haha!
