tailgate cap?

Anyone have the ford part number or a link to a place to buy the factory tailgate cap? Cant seem to find it in any of the ford factory parts lookups. Did find it on LMC for $70 I believe. I thought I remembered it being $40 at the dealer?

Look in the Supporting Vendor list - Sunrise Ford Parts or Autofair

Either of them would look it up for you - I think each offer discounts.

i am thinking the factory tailgate cap is discontinued....the bed rails are available, but not the tailgate.

I don't see how that would be it's the same tailgate up to at least '07.

i just remember reading, a member did some checking, you can het the rails ( they are still the same ) but since the gate change, it is now 5 years later, ford just doesnt do they any more, probably whay lmc picked them up.

I checked with my ford dealer the other day while I was having some recall work don, said they can still get, $67 I think.
