Unhappy 2005 Broken bolt tab on headlight, usable?

Hi everyone!

I have not really posted much at all since I bought my truck about a year ago. I am wanting to cut my header panel and put in these used 05-07 headlights I Picked up for 50 bucks! I noticed the tab on both the headlights were broken, can I still use them like this on my 01?
Thanks for any input and suggestions ahead of time! I have my buddy opening them up for paint currently.

Also,
I currently have HIDs for the 99-03 head lamps, do I have to buy a conversion pigtail or can I just get the HID bulb for an 05?

Do you have the tabs avail still? Sounds like you dont. So I would recommend manufacturing your own out of a somesort of plastic, measure, cut and drill new tabs. Then you can JB weld your manufactured new tabs onto the housing. It should work just have to be creative with it. Should be fairly easy.
