2000 F250 level questions?

i recall reading a thread a bit back about excursion front leafs will give an F250 a level stance.

they 1-2" taller?

my truck 2000 f250 (245k miles) diesel
his 2005 excursion (65k miles) gas

reason im asking is there's a local guy that yarded his (65k miles) for a 5" lift kit.

thinking i can possibly use them for a "level" stance on my Superduty.
thoughts, options, references appreciated.

the only numbers on the springs i can make out are

3034AHA and RPN2924

first off, 2005 was the first year that ford went to coil springs in the front vs leaf springs in the super dutys. from what i know about excursions is they carried a lighter spring in the front than 250s and 350s even with the diesels. all leaf spring 250s and 350s had v code springs. x codes were for the plow package and would level a 350.

because i like to know.... i looked it up. it looks like the 05 excursions still had leaf springs. but, i know that ex owners are going to super duty springs to get rid of the sagging wallowy springs. not the other way around.

you should have v code springs, confirm this with your door code. i bought my 99 at 191k and the springs were sagging. i bought a shackle lift for mine. i also had a shackle lift with my 03 and ad no problems with it. cheap and easy

Excursion springs are not rated to carry the weight of a diesel...will drop the front 2" lower than a V code.

As stated you could get a 2" hangers or a 2" mini spring pack and remove a leaf or 2 to get the height you want. We have all..

update~


got some 2" shackles....got the truck apart but the axle doesnt want to line up under the truck.
did anyone need to install a trackbar relocator?
