Door lock actuator

The passenger front door lock has stopped working. I understand this is a problem with the Ford trucks. I have a new actuator from Ford, I took off the door panel this weekend and spent the better part of the day trying to replace the acutator. Does anyone know how to get the old part out? Do I have to remove the window channel and lock assembly completely, or is there some trick I am missing?

Thanks.

Yes, you have to remove the latch mechanism completely, get it out and then the actualtor comes off easily. Its kinda tricky to get it out and back in. Mine came apart slow but went back together pretty fast.
