Cab light install question

I have a 2000 f-350 srw cclb that did not come with the cab lights on the roof. So, I went to my ford house after work today and bought the lights and lenses. I was gonna get the wiring harness but they told me it was discontinued. Soooooooo......is there any place I can get one? Thanks for the help.

I see that ford still makes an '01 wiring harness. Is there a difference between an 01' and a '00??

Ok, I called a dozen or so ford dealerships and warehouses and NOBODY has this harness laying around. So, my only options are to go to a salvage yard and see if I can pull a harness out of a wrecked truck, or buy Recon's universal cab light kit. Since I already have the ford oem cab lights, will I be able to use them with the recon harness? Also, does anybody know the quality of recons products? Thanks

Check out this thread - It's old and closed, but part way down there is a picture of two boxes. One for the lamp, one for the harness. They have the Ford Part numbers on the box. Maybe that will be helpful

I used the info from SuperCrutyPS's post and looked up that part number on Tousleys web site.

It looks like a good part number:

Part Number 1C3Z15A404AA
Part Name WIR ASY MKR LP TO SW
MSRP $49.93
Core $0.00
Online Price $32.96

There appears to be a newer part number for the newer trucks...different plug and it plugs into the drivers side instead of the pass side:
Part Number 7C3Z15A404AA
Part Name WIRE ASY - ACCESSORY
MSRP $45.52
Core $0.00
Online Price $30.04

I think i'll try this wiring harness. Even if for some reason it doesn't plug into the trucks existing harness I could always hard wire it. Just hope that the plugs for the individual cab lights matches the cab lights I already have?

Ok, I was looking for the above part number on fords parts website, and I found that it's a 2001 cablight wiring harness for trucks without an overhead console. I have a 2000 with an overhead console. The whole o/h console thing is confusing me. I can't see why the 2001 harness without the o/h console wouldn't work. All I want to do is power the lights. I could care less about the console. If anybody could clear up my confusion I'd love it! Thanks

Only a wild guess, but they probably incorporated the power& plugs to the overhead console into the same harness. I'd give Tousley a call, they are very helpful.

i have heard of people using this kit off ebay, from what i underdstand the seller is really good and it gives you a butting template, and i think it comes with the harness,

i will have to look but i know that i have seen a harness with both the lights and overhead computer.
