I'm too have not heard of this mod -- do the Chebby's have two bulbs? or just one like the Fords? We're still trying to figure out how to get the fog lights on with the high beams or parking lamps on the 01 and earlier models of trucks
The chevys have two bulbs per light. The fix is simple, you just jump across two of the relays under the hood with a small diode that has had the ends lengthened by soldering some wire extensions. The diode assures that current only flows one way.

Thanks.

you can use one relay to do both sides, just split the connection from term 30 into each low beam wire on either harness, you will need to use 12AWG-14AWG to be safe. Relay wire and time should be about $5.00 and 20 mins.
This sounds similar to the mod for the chevy ... can you provide any pics or diagrams?????

Thanks.

I don't have pics, sorry. But the terminal outputs I was talking about are on the bottom of most every 12v relay, just look at the numbers, and tag each wire.

I'll see what I can do about a diagram.

I'm sure you can Stump, let me look under there and see what I can find. It's just a matter of what wires to tag, but I don't see why you couldn't do it.

The only problem with jumping the low beams to high's is you are going to put too much of a load on the facory wiring. The Geno's box runs heavy gauge wires to the battery for light power and uses the headlight switch to flip the relay.

The power for the low/high mod does not come from the hi beams, it comes from the 12 volt constant just like the box does, so no woories.
