99-07 to 11-12 Front End?

Been trying to find someone who has done this, but no luck! I really want to attempt this, I know alot of you guys have done the 99-07 to 08-10 style, or 08-10 to 11, but anyone know if its possible to do the 99-07 to 11-12? Dont see why not, its mostly the same!

Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick,

I did not do it but had the 2011 front end installed on my 2000. I managed to find a really good deal on the parts which helped with the installation cost.

Off the top of my head here's a real basic description. The bottom of the fenders bolted on. Brackets had to be made for the top of the fenders. he said they had to "massage" the fender to get it line up with the door. It looks like it came that way from the factory.

The front frame had to be cut back to mount the bumper. They also did a bunch of welding on it. I think also the rad support was trimmed to mount the headlights. They did use the original rad support.

Make sure that you get the wiring harness for the headlights. It's VERY expensive (they were quoted $1500 Cdn for the harness). They managed to find a wrecked one that they got the pigtails needed for $75.

The 2011 cowl had to be trimmed to install. One other unforeseen problem was the wiper motor. When they installed the 2011 wiper motor to go with the cowl the truck computer rejected the motor and kept blowing fuses. They ended up using the 2000 motor with the 2011 wiper arms. The wipers work perfect.

I did have a front trailer hitch on with the 2000 front end but it had to come off. I'm not sure yet if I can get one for a 2011 on or not.

The 2011 bumper came with fog lights which I will be getting wired up soon. Didn't have them on truck before.

Now I am saving for paint

Awesome job Y2K350! How about a picture of the interior? I have a 2001 F250 in the middle of a 2005 front conversion with a 2008 tailgate and 2011 tail lights.

Hi 7.3 Leader,

Sorry for the late reply. Haven't had any computer time. Thanks. Sorry don't have any pics of the interior it's got a tan interior with 2003 seats in it. Someday it will get the 2011 seats and door panels. Don't plan on doing the dash though.

Originally I was planning on doing the 05 front conversion till I came across a great deal on the newer parts
