2012 bumper on an 01?

I got a good deal on a front and rear 2012 bumper set ($200) and i know the rear will work out with just drilling a new hole for the spare.. But what about the front? i think i heard a guy tell me that you have to drill one hole and that theres about a half inch gap under the grill? Any thoughts? thanks,
Chris

i found that you ca, and no drilling necessary... you have to remove the tow hooks and use the bottom mounting position n\ on the bumper with the top hole in the frame... it lines up fairly well.. but there is a half inch or so gap betwene the middle of the bumper and the grill.. the rear bumper, as has been well publicized is a direct bolt perfect fit.

Ehh......

Rear looks nice. Front looks weird IMO. Not the same "shape/style" as the older trucks... Looks out of place

How does it fit up on the sides at the fenders? I have one also but still on the fence about using it.

Well you can, but looking at the pics it brings to mind that a 300lb woman can fit in spandex, but it just looks horrible. Ya dig?
