Should I go another 1.5?

So here is the thing.. truck has a 8.5 lift on it.. 2.5 of which is shackle and hanger with the stock block in the rear....

My Mech put my cross over steering on and said the steering knuckle is 2 inches to long... he said to either replace the knuckle or raise the truck higher... I asked him if 1.5 was good enough and he said .. yes

So if I do this I will be replacing the 2.5 shackle hanger kit with a 3.5 kit...

Also to answer a few questions.. already have 4.56 gears.. custom solid rear drive shaft.. The kid had a 10 inch lift on it until he was ready to sell it and dropped it to a 8.5 so the truck is already set up for the lift.

Just woundering if the Fabtech tac bars will work with a 10 inch lift.
