Painted Calipers - What do Ya Think?
redid my brakes this weekend.
Akebono Ceramics + ATE Slotted rotors make me a happy man. (replaced both rear caliper brackets as they had 3 out of the 4 pins completely stuck) horray for stopping. Decided why not use the cans of primer/enamel i had on the shelf. Came out to be pretty close to the "Fabtech" blue on the shocks. Thoughts? I like em, Tempted to see what a High Gloss Yellow would look like... but I like the blue. Is there a rule against doing your calipers in anything besides "Guards Red" ?!? Looks good, there certainly isn't a rule against any other color besides red
But I would suggest not going with yellow. Any light color will look dirty all the time from the brake dust. Blue/black/gray/red are generally safe.

i primed mine, then usedenamel. If you go to an auto parts store it's literally called Caliper Paint.
I think it's the same as header/exhaust manifold paint. |
