Smoked headlights

I have heard that smoked headlights w/ corners (like the ones on EBAY) dont have very good "brightness" because of the smoking? What do yall think?

I would get some plain ole clear ones but I think the smoked one would look good on my blk truck.

well smoked headlights are illegal... and second most headlights sold or clear lenses with the insides of them black..... like these ohttp://www.stealth-automotive.com/servlet/Detail?no=40 or 1999-02 Projector Headights (Black)

those would def be illegal here in Cali.... anything that smokes the outer lenses is illegal...

i bought the smoked corner lights from ebay then bought some tint paint and put 2 light coats on my headlights looks pretty sweet. oneday i will prolly exchange the head lights for real smoked ones but the painted worked real well. i think as long as you dont go to dark you will be ok, i didnt effect the brightness any cuz i was worried about that too.
