Thinking about doin 05 conversion..questions.

I know there are several places i can buy full conversion kits for the front end. My question is with those kits you buy is there actually something that is converted on those bumpers and lights and grille? or can i just go and buy normal 05 ford stuff and bolt it up. or does it have to be specific for it to fit on my 02 350? because i found some great deals on buying the parts seperate, but was not sure if i could go and do that or actually had to spend the extra money and get the legit 05 conversion kits. thanks a lot!

Its just standard 05 parts, all you need is the radiator support, headlights, grille, bumper and mounts, conversion harness for the headlight bulbs, other than that should be just alittle bit of welding for the radiator support.

I'm about to do the swap on my 02. All you need are the factory style 05-07 pieces.

If you need help with sourcing any part let me know and ill pass on where I got them from. I got a great deal on a complete front bumper. should have the upper piece and header panel back from the painter this weekend.

yes please share!!! would love to get a great deal and okay your positive all you need is just a OEM bumper and that will fit there is actually no "conversion kit" its just bolt off bolt on stuff.

you can use oem or aftermarket. no special pieces required. most people recommend also changing the header panel, but you can get away with out it. just have to trim and zip tie.

awesome thanks a lot. looks pretty straight forward nothing to wild. Now where did you get your bumper and grille at? ive found a pretty good deal on ebay for lights so that i am not worried about.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REPLACE THE RADIATOR SUPPORT!!! only header panel unless you modify your 99+, headlights, headlight harness, grill, bumper...i just modded my header panel and here are the before and after mod look. i also included pic of the headlight plugs on the 99+ and the back of the 05+ headlights so you know what the plugs look like you need...

Are the 05 lights better than the 02's? My 02's suck. Even with HID's. I am willing to do this only if the 05 lights are a significant improvement....
