2003 F350 Cab light install
So i just got myself a set of Ford factory cab lights that im aiming to get on this weekend. I found a very detailed how to thanks to this site, but still have a few un answered questions.
To follow a stock set up of the cab lights: 1) do the "tails" of the markers follow the curve of the windshield? or are they dead straight? 2) how do you line up the markers dead straight? I im following the 5.5" from the windshield rubber for the center hole, how do you figure the outside two "studs" to keep the markers straight? making the measurements even on either side based off the windshield rubber wouldn't accomplish this, right? 3)Whats the easiest way to go about making a template for the light? 4) Im planning on sealing them up with some clear silicone on top of the included gasket, any suggestions as far as prepping the painted surface ? 5)any other tips? Im just having a little trouble punching holes in an extremly expensive piece of sheet metal ![]() Motoman's Madness Last edited by KDRacing; 04-23-2012 at 08:18 PM. |

Okay thanks alot, if everything goes according to plans with the weather ill be putting these in tomorrow.. I have two friends with F250s by me, neither have oem cab lights, one has a lit lund visor the other is markerless... I always thought these lights were pretty standard on almost every F250 and up model. I guess not? Thanks again for the help guys. If i get them all done tomorrow ill put some pics up.

The cablights are only standard on duallys because of their width, on single rear wheel Superdutys they are an option. |
