Colored stacks?

Hey everyone,

been thinking about changing the look of my truck a little, seeing as I am about the only truck around that is white(as far as friends and diesel enthusiast's) I was pondering the thought of getting my stacks colored. But I wasn't sure how to go about it, my first thought was powder coating them but I wasn't sure if there was any better idea's people might have. I have a white truck so i wanted to match my stacks to that. Any idea or thoughts is appreciated.

Also anyone ever DIY painted there mirrors, kind of wanted to do the same to my mirrors but didn't want to pay the 250-500$ to have it professionally done.

I'm pretty sure powdercoating is not the best idea...You need heat resistant paint for those suckers

Also...I just plasti-dipped my mirrors if that matters to you... DIY and no prep needed works nice!

Do you have to pull the mirror or anything or just dip the whole thing?

How much did it cost?

You think i should get all the chrome off before painting the stacks?

We pulled it off but you can do it not pulling it off just taping the car..

I used half a can for both mirrors @ $6 a can.

That's what im working on right now also... bumpers next

Sorry, poor choice of words, did you have to pull the glass out of the mirror. Where did you buy the plasti dip?

Lowes... we took off the "back" covers off the mirror frame and glass.

Not too bad, maybe Ill go to lowes tomorrow and possibly even go to a local auto paint dealer and talk to them about something for the stacks. Thanks for all the suggestions!
