Smile Post your painted grilles!

Well, I finally got around to painting my grille and thought it'd be nice to have a thread with pictures of painted grilles.

Mine was in pretty rough condition and the gray inserts were all faded and chipped. I used spray paint. I sanded and wash it, then I did 2 coats of adhesion promoter, 3 coats of black, and 2 coats of clear. It definitely makes the truck look newer. Also defines the front a bit more by making the chrome pop out more. I would definitely recommend it.

Oh, and I'm planning on getting a 2005 grille in the future, but this was a $25 fix to hold me off until then.

Well, here it is:

My HIDs look way more colorful than they actually are in this picture. They are 6000k's.

2001 Ford F250 Super Duty XLT - Extended Cab Long Bed - 7.3L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel - 4x2 - 2005 Headlights - 2005 Chrome Tow Mirrors - Platinum Edition Front Bumper - 22x9.5 Granite Alloy GA7's with 305/44-22 Tires - NAPA Gold 6637 - Foil Removal - 6000k HIDs - Smoked Taillights - Painted Grille
Soon to Come: Wicked Wheel, Tuner, Exhaust, Audio System.

Looks great. I've seen red trucks with the grille painted body color and they look great.
