Just got a Cab rack... time for lights halogen vs led

Well just got my back rack in the other day, my main reason for buying one was somewhere to mount an antenna and set of work lights... Im not too sure exactly which type of lights im looking to get. I have seen on here that the LEDs have become pretty popular but have yet to really see them in person.. The halogens on the other hand are tried and true... been around for years, thats what my boss had on the old work truck so it's kinda a 'i know what im getting thing'.... anyway im stuck between trying something new and going with the halogens.. If i went the halogen route they are most likely going to be a set of hella fog beam. if i go the LED route i have no idea where to turn, rigid seems to be the preferred choice.
These lights will be used mainly for working late around trailers and in the nearby area of the truck, however there are times i do need some distance out of them too (100-150ft) which is where the leds scare me.

What do you guys think?? anyone have headache racks with work lights?

pros and cons to led vs halogen?
-led obv cost more..
-led limited distance?
-leds draw alot less power

Thanks guys... Im hoping to go with a round light

Got any pictures of the rack? I was thinking of putting in some Yakima roof racks and bolting on some driving lights on there.
