Adding a bed to a chassis
Hey Guys/Gals,
This is my first post here. I will probably have a bunch more soon. I am planning on buying a F350 or F450 Dually in the next month. If I can reach the petals that is.... haven't sat in a 450 yet, and I am only 5'1". Quick question. Right now I have my eye on a 2000 F450, 4x4, 7.3L, dually that is just the crew cab and chassis. It doesn't have a bed. I am thinking about getting it and putting either a flatbed or pickup bed on it. Still up in the air on which. What I was wondering is if a bed will have to be welded to the chassis or if it just bolts on. The Ford body shop says it bolts on, but I want more opinions. Thanks guys/gals! I searched for an answer but my terms were too generic to retrieve any results. Thanks in advance. |

I'm pretty sure beds bolt on. Cabs do also.
