99 to 07 headlight conversion??

Ok i have read a ton of members postings about this topic and it seems everyone does it a bit different. Ive got everything to do the 99-07 front end conversion except the headlights. I know there is a 9007 to a 9008 harness conversion available. For the headlights and signals. My question is will the light sockets from the 99-03 twist into the headlights of the 2007? I read on a sticky from a guy in this forum that he just took the bulb from a 2007 signal light socket and put it in his 99 signals socket. And i know the clearance lamp is the same already and dont need to worry about that. Now as for the headlights if the sockets from 99 will twist into the 07 headlights why arnt any of the guys just getting a hid kit for the 99 and putting it into the 07 headlights instead of dealing with the hassle of the conversion harness's or sodering the wires?

jumble of words.. man..

Ill break it down...

YES signal bulb and marker are identical, you do not need to change.

No the 9007 light and H13 are not interchangable.

BUT: like ive said.. IF you have an HID kit for the 9007 already buy H13 bulbs and use all your old set up no changing wires or connectors needed. LOTS of guys dont run HID's though.
