Question What HID headlights to order?

I have a late 99 f250 that i bought not too long ago. I am interested in getting an HID kit for it. My buddy has the same model truck as i do and i noticed our headlights were different. His has the orange amber color along the entire buttom of the headlights, while mine only has them on the far corner. His dad has a 2004 6.0 and my headlights and his look the exact same. When i order HID lights do i order the kit for a 2004 f250 or what are they? Heres a pic of what mine look like compared to my buddy's. Also what are most of you guys running, 6000k or 8000k? I really like the look of the 8000k but i dont know if it will be tooo blue like the ricers.

They changed the headlights in 02 to the clear version like you have. A common upgrade is the 05-07 head lights. If you want HIDs in those go ahead, but you might get flashed more than if you had them in a different housing.

No no. 05-07 headlights are an upgrade some people do. If you're ordering a HID kit for your current lights, order it for a 9007 type bulb. The 99-04 trucks all use 9007's. Even though they changed the headlights in 02 they still used the same bulb type.

Even though both of the lights below are different, they are basically the same. They both take a 9007 bulb for the headlights.

These headlights are the 05-07 style I was talking about. Those of us with 99-04 trucks sometimes upgrade to the 05-07 headlights because they put out more light and they don't scatter HIDs like the 99-04 lights do.

DDM Tuning

Is anyone running this kit from DDM Tuning?
HID Kits, BMW Aftermarket Bumpers & Lighting, DEPO - DDM Tuning

Is there a benefit from getting the slim ballast vs getting the Raptor Full Size ballast which is 10 cheaper?
Also is there any need in getting the "HID harness", "Error Eliminator", or "Adaptor Cables"? And also should i go with the 55W or 35W? I have the blue 99 in my sig but running the 04 style headlights so it is still the 9007 bulb that i was informed about. Any help would be appreciated

DDM Tuning is a good company!
I'm sure you just got unlucky...
We have been ordering their kits for over a year and installing them for people.
Great product for a great price.
I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but many people had had great experiences with them!
