08 Tailgate

I was wondering if anybody knew if a 08 tailgate will bolt to a 99 or does there have to be some modifications

i did an 08 tailgate conversion on my 99 a few weeks ago. you need to buy a $20 part and it will go right on

I really want to do this mod, but their are so many things higher on the list......

You can make it work without the bracket u just have to take 2 bolts and a rod out of the 08 tailgate that's how one on mine and 2 other buddys on!!

Yea I was to impatiant to order the hinge so I took out the torsion rod took 10 minutes

You should defiantly get one I love mine on my truck I think it looks so much better but that's my 2 cent!!!

Hollister, love the headlights! What kind are they?

Any pics of the tailgate swap? Maybe someone could do a "how to" for us newbies to the diesel world...

The truck is in my signature with the 08 tailgate and yea making that a sticky would be a good thing as many people are switching to 08 tailgates!!
