2003 Headlight attachment broke - don't know part
On the top, outside of the headlight at the back is a black plastic piece that goes from the headlight assembly to the alignment screw/bolt. It clips into the back of the headlight, but the clips on mine are broken (on drivers side) so the headlight points down.
I don't know the part or even if it is available seperately from the entire headlight! Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Or do I need to post pictures? What part is it and where can I get a replacement without spending a fortune? I've searched the forum and the internet in general using every search term I could think of to describe it and found nothing. |

The bad news is that it isn't a serperately available part; it is part of the "headlight assembly". So now on top of the $660 in repairs I've done over the past two weeks I have to buy a new headlight assembly (OE part 2C3Z13008AB ???). Can anyone suggest a cheap source for them? Searching I've found them down to $25 at someplace called thepartsbin.com but I don't know how reputable they are. Maybe I'll drive to a pay-and-pull lot at lunch to see if they have anything. Headlights Depot is well reviewed by many members on the board but it looks like it will cost you close to $50.

However, I've also find a $32 replacement on Amazon with free shipping, sold by Amazon. Hard to beat! And I've got a couple of Christmas presents to order on Amazon anyway, so ... |
