Any advice on shocks?

I need some new shocks again for my '99 2 wheel drive dually. I put factory replacements on about 80Kmiles ago, and think the've seen the end of the road. Any advice on a good aftermarket set?

I can look on the internet and see a list like that! I need to hear from people that actually have aftermarket shocks on their rigs and like them, or don't like them. OEM replacements are what I have, and don't want again.

I have ran pro-comp in my opinion they are over priced monroes, rancho rs 5000 and monroe gas shocks are pretty close to being the same thing just different prices. I think if you want a nice smooth ride and a great price go with Monroe Sens-trac gas shock. They provide good smooth cushion ride.

If you really want to go expensive you can get billistien shocks I rode in a couple trucks that have these. Feels like your riding on air. But your looking at around 100 dollars a shock for them.

I put the Bilstein heavy duty on mine. As far as I'm concerned, they are the best truck shock available. I've put them on my last three trucks and have never had a problem with them, or a complaint about them. The lifetime warranty is a plus, also.

Someone just isn't shopping well enough on the net!! I recently paid $65 each for the four that are on my truck..... and that included shipping. They're not cheap; but, if you wanted cheap you'd be driving a Mazda truck....

^^^^ +1 -- I asked this same question about a month or so ago and was told go with Bilsteins -- I'll have to try to find that thread. There was a 4x4 place on the net that had all 4 shipped for about $270...
