Body Panels

I am looking to remove my cut-out flares. I hate them but I bought the truck with them.

Where is a good place to get GOOD body panels? When I say good body panels I mean panels that wont rust out 2 weeks because they are made of cheap china steel. I will need bedsides and front fenders. I am also considering doing an 08 conversion but that is still up in the air.

I already tried the junk yards and just to get a bed is upwards of $2500. I am thinking I can just get the panels a hell of a lot cheaper and I have a buddy who owes me a favor and hes a body guy so I could have him paint them for next to nothing.

Not sure where you're going to find just the panels but good luck sounds like you have a good plan with knowing the body guy.

I read a similar thread not long ago where someone suggested swapping beds and it was pointed out that the body lines are quite different so it wouldn't match up with the doors. Not trying to persuade you not to do it, just sharing what I've learned.

Good luck, post up some pictures when you get to working on it.

I will definitely take pics when I get around to doing it.

LMC truck has panels for the superduty but I do not know the quality of them. Also I could only find the front fenders on their website. They had bed sides but didnt list my year on the website.

Front fenders are only $100 each so I figure bedsides maybe $200 each which would put me at $600 in parts and paint should be free or next to nothing.

LMC Truck Parts - Page 33

Here are the bed sides. Kinda pricey from the though. 500 a side.

tousleyfordparts.com has them also which they would be oem ford parts for cheaper if its a short bed or the same price if its long bed.

Thanks for the info. I can't believe the bedsides are 5 times as much as the fenders.
