Headlights.........

all of you 99 to 04 superduty owners have any suggestions on "clear headlights" to replace my stock headlights?

i have clear corners and cablights but still have stock headlights and would like to upgrade without spending 400 bucks for aftermarket headlights.

What year did ford put the newer style headlights on the superdutys? was it in '02 or '03?

Is there any difference in the bulbs themselves between the newer and older styles?

take a look at my garage and let me know what you think.

thanks.

are you talking about the completely redesigned front end that came out in '05? cause i am just talking about the "clearer" and newer style headlights on the older body style superdutys, or the non-coil spring superdutys.

thanks.
Josh

I hear ya. I too would really like to put the cool 'clearer' headlights on my 2000. I can't tell you a good and inexpencive place to get them but please beware the cheaps. I've seen them turn too yellow too fast! Let us know if you find a deal on some goodn's.

I just replied to the same type of ? on another thread. I did the 02 headlights and corners with upgraded harness on my truck and I love the look especially with the 05 grill, see pics in my gallery. The 99-03 are a direct replacement although the 02 and 03 used a different adjuster on one corner so if you buy them used make sure you get the adjusters. A member of the TDS forum gave me his headlights and corners off his 02 as he did the 05 harley lights. The 05 and 06 headlights can be put on our trucks but the header panel needs to modified or replaced to make them work. The light output between the clear lenses and better harness is incredible.

I changed to the 06 headlights and there is no turning back for me. I have the instructions and the harness and hardware for those that want to take on that task. It well worth it, from a look, quality, and light out put.
