Runningboard Lights

Maybe this is just a crazy brain fart, but I wondered if any of you guys had ever mounted LED lights up under the doors for the runningboards. I know you can get 5 foot strips of white LEDs and I thought it'd be nice to tie them into the dome lights so they come on when the door opens. Any thoughts or ideas?

Recon makes some LED lights that are specifically for that..... they are called big rig running lights. they also have built in turn signals to them

Thanks, Raul, those are some pretty sharp lights. I'm gonna have to look at more of Recon's stuff.....I really like the LED's

lol i like them too... im prob gonna put everything they make on my truck lol.... cant wait for the LED taillights to come out next month.....

I like the LED kick plates they have that glow "superduty"... Been wanting a set of them!

those kickplates are bad azz. and my Big Rig lights from Recon are in the mail so I should see them today or tomorrow.

I installed the RECON smoked cab clearance lights, smoked sidemarker lights, 3 of the smoked running lights that go under the tailgate,(I've got them hooked up so the left and left center light are for the left turn, same for the right and all light up for the brakes.) I also installed a 62" and 48" Big Rig lights on the sides. Here's a couple of pics. I need to get some night shots to show the lights better. The truck is getting tons of looks now!!!!!

wow sweet.... you smoked out everything.... now you jsut need the smoked LED tailights and your set.... oh and for you guys waiting on the door sills they should be in in a couple of weeks... in both brushed and black finish....
