back door sensors

the back drivers door sensor only works half of the time. sometimes when door is shut the dome light stays on and so does the door ajar light on the dash. randomly it will go off sometime later or the next day. where is this sensor located so i can check it out or change it. thanks

I have the same problem on the driver's door of my 01. I believe the sensor is in the door latch itself. A chiltons book will tell you what you need to know adout replacing it.

I believe it is on the back side of the door that rod that goes in between the hinges spray inside that with some WD40 and that should take care of you
