f250 xl light conversion

hey fellas! new to the site. question: i have searched and searched but i cannot find out if you can replace the headlights from the f250 xl (sunkin headlights) with the xlt headlights (flush headlights). can someone help me out. i have a 00 xl supercab short bed truck. want to convert my headlights. but i want to know if they will fit before i buy them. any help would be apprectiated. thanks

I'm pretty sure you can - you will just have to remove the sealed beam lights and replace them with the composite type (flush) -- The amount of space they take up is the same i'm pretty sure -- but the only differance might be how they mount into the radiator support...
