tires, lift & rims combo?

what is the optomal combo of lift and rims for 37s or 38s on my truck? now what is still going to allow me to have drivability and what size tire is it safe to go up to w/o changing gears? and will a different rim size effect who he'll be on the streets or in the mud?? any advice you could give would be AWSOME.

you can squeeze 37" tires on a Pro-Comp 6.5" lift... a 8" lift does look better though for either 37"/38" tire.... as for rim size it is all about your preference.... i like the look of 20"x10 wheels on those size tires...... for gears i would say you would have to change it at anything over 36" tires just for MPG and more power.... if your stock truck has 3.73's i would go with 4.10's or even 4.54's.... hope this helps
