Nice job Bill!

Wish I had a solid (color) truck that I could do that to!

bad bad bad, very bad

well i tdid the other side a few hour's ago. and like it say's above, bad. i started to peel the pass, side fornt edge and heard "crack crack crack" then it let go a little more and then one more "crack". the paint came with it. about a 7" long strip as wide as the trim came right off with the trim. i think i figured out why. the driver's side was in the sun. so the sun heated up the glue and made it soft. and the adhesive remover made it come off realy easy. well the passenger side was in the shade. glue didn't soften up. thus the peeling paint. took ot to a detailing shoop. they want, are you ready for this, $926.20 to fix that and a scratch on the bed. i'm going to the dealer tomorrow and talk to the guy that does all thier repair's and see what he say's. i'll get a pic in a little bit. i wanna cry.

You are totally right though about it being in the shade. I hope the dealer can help you more tomorrow.

Also, for future reference, whenever we remove safety warning labels (quad plastic) or sticker graphics, etc... we always use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat the area up first.

At least the other side looks great, right?

i didn't even think about a heat gun. i was to exited to do the other side. learn from your mistakes i guess. it dosent look as bad as i thought it did. it look's like it just took the clear coat off. but then again it doesnt. it's kinda blueish lookin and tan at the same time. well see tomorrow.

The same thing is happening to me with my box truck. It came with these big stickers and the sides that were in the sun came right off, the other side stole the paint. At least though my new stickers cover up the oops.

Ouch... That sucks man. You can stick them back on for a temp fix. You can get double sided tape at Walmart for a couple of bucks.
