2010 tailgate on an 1999

just wondering if a 2010 superduty tail gate would fit on my 99??

yes i believe there are different brackets for mounting though.

all you need to get t make it work is the drivers side tailgate pivot. the part is listed in ford's computer a for a F150... but they are the same all the way up through the 450's

Yea, just need the pivot, they are 7.50 at the dealer, just did mine!!1 man this gate is sweet with the spring assist!!

your dealer has a good price... mine was $15 either way its still a relatively minor cost to make a nicer tailgate work. the reason you need a different pivot is becasue the 08-10 gates have a torsion rod in them to help make it easier to close.

they are usually expensive, and please dont steal one at your local wal-mart parking lot like they do around here.

Wasn't planning on steeling one, so no worries there. Where can you find them? And is there a difference between 2010 and 09's?
