8' Super Duty bed???

I am having to find a new bed for my 99 F250 Super Duty thanks to a guy not paying attention and rear ended me . Any way, Does it HAVE to be a super duty bed or just a f250 bed. If it has to be a super duty bed why? What is the difference? Thanks.

Ya it has to be a superduty bed. The only years that are the same body style are superduty!

You can look for any superduty bed up to 2009 if I am not mistaking....

the only slight difference is tail gate and tail lamps and slight wiring hook-ups.

but expecially if your in a snow zone, it's not easy to find good shape early model box's.

That is DEAD cheap.....

Locally at the take off shop when I checked the "new" take off beds that are all in white

Short bed box'x single wheels or duals $3,895.00 without tailgates or tail lights
Long bed trucks where $3,395.00 for that same as above.

Soooo if your getting prices like above I would'nt let them get away..heck some people pay almost $500 for tailgates for 2008/09 units.

Around here, for a good brand new take-off bed you're looking at $1500-2000, but that's off an 08-10 truck. If you're willing to do a bit of body work you can find one for cheaper. The dealer can get you a brand new bed (never been on a truck), with a tailgate, unpainted for about $2000.
