Recon 60" Light Bar install

Okay I am running into a problem here and was wondering if I could get some help. I purchased the recon 60" xtreme scanning light bar and would like to hardwire it to my truck. Is it easiest to tap into the flat four? Aside from that what would be the best spot to wire in the 12v power wire. Thanks for the help.

Hard wire it into your trailer plug wiring.

How? What exactly do you mean by hardwire? Im a bodywork and paint kinda guy really dont wanna pay my audio guy to install it

match the wires with the wires on the light bar and tap into those wires on your trailer plug make sure you wrap it tight with electrical tape or use shrink tube to make the connections waterproof.

well im on hour 4 of trying to figure out the wiring and no luck so far this is a huge pain in the *** i cant believe there isnt a video or something out there but searched for a few hours last night and still cant find anything

Are you matching the wire colors? It's pretty simple.

there is no red/black. ive got my buddy over that installs gps systems so he knows alot more about wiring than i do but the best we got was half lit up as running lights about an hour ago but we cant even get that now. its pretty awesome im 3000 miles away from the company

What year is the truck you need to identify the wires on the light bar figure out what color wire does what.

2000. but like i said the bar is scrap anyway now im waiting on an email back from recon about replacing it... honestly i dont think i would buy something from this company again after this the whole setup was supposed to be plug and play
