Auto Hub option?

I have the manual 4x4 shifter and read that they came with manual hubs. I have what looks like manual hubs but they lock automatically when i put i in 4x4. Was this an option from the factory?

Yes it was. There are 2 types of hubs available. One is like the warn style which are just lockouts with a "locked or free" options, the 2nd is the auto lockers witch you can still turn to be used in either "auto or lock option". The auto/lock ones when used in lock keep the hubs locked in so there is no slop in the driveline. This is great for guys who offroad a lot or who plow a lot.
