F150 Tailgate Fitment?

I know the 97-03 F150 tailgates are a direct swap to the 99+ Superduty's. My question is will the 04+ F150 tailgates fit as well? They look a little different but almost the same as the 08+ SD tail gates.

No, the '04 plus F150 tailgates are taller as the F150 boxes are deeper.

good thing i have read this first before buying on ebay. this is what i saw on the internet ford tailgate hardware...or else that will be a waste of money.
