painting

hey guys my brushguard started to peel so i had the idea to paint it black what kind of paint should i use and any prep advice thanks

2000 f250 5'' stack, ts 6 pos chip

Ported Heads, Head studs, Over size valve springs, DI Push Rods, DI RR, GTP38R, GSL 392 fuel pump with 3/8 line feeding 238cc Injectors from Nate @ Unlimited Diesel and Tuning from Matt @ Gearhead Automotive, fuel bowl delete with regulated return lines,

yeah scuff it up real good or rent a sandblaster for a day and sand blast it but as long as its scuffed up good the paint should stick to its you goin flat black or gloss black?

yeah most of them come more flat than glossy and ok man ive never about decided on a ranch hand anyway lol a brillo pad or steel wool would prolly be the best to scuff it up
