2008 tailgate?

What would be a good deal for one with a step? i'm looking to find one also what exactley is needed to put it on an 2001?

Nothing is needed except the tail gate . If you get one with the step there is a little metal bracket bolted to the bed , I think it is to keep the tailgate from falling if the straps break . You know so if you are standing up there you don't go for a ride . You wouldn't have to have it , just pay attention to the straps .

You need a bracket from a 2008 F150. Let me see if I can find the part number for ya.

I believe the drivers side hinge, on the bed needs to be upgraded, I think its only like 45$ from Ford thats all you need...
