02 F250 turn signal problem

I have a 02 F250, 7.3, 4x4 with a problem with the front pass side turn signal. When I use the turn signal, if I put the handle up where the turn signal should stay on, the rear signal blinks fast and the front doesn't blink at all and the light on the dash doesn't light up. But, if I hold the handle up, without pushing it all the way on, the signals work fine. Theres no blown fuses and the bulbs are all good. Any help is appreciated, Thanks.............

It sounds like your multi-function (aka turn signal) switch is in the process of dying.
