Hubs

Hello-

Bought my truck before winter hit us - now that the snow is flying - I have a question about the hubs on my F250. They are the OEM hubs but there arent any markings on them. My question is this - If I am looking at my front driver side wheel hub - which direction locks in the hub? CW or CCW? Also I read somewhere about auto and manual locking settings? I assume the auto is limited slip and manual is locked and if so - which direction sets either setting? Any help is appreciated -thanks.

going clockwise locks the hub. Thats for driver and passenger side. It takes only about 1/4 turn, and you'll hear a click when it locks into place. There should be two little marks that line up when its locked, and unlocked.

Look for the marks. The ones on mine are worn off but I was able to look real close and find them.

locking hubs are always clockwise to lock. never seen em any other way
