Headlight options

I need to upgrade my headlights, I've been tossing around the idea for quite some time, been setting money aside and just realized that my custom bumper won't allow the 05+ without a huge gap underneath . So what are my options? 02-04 clears, projectors, etc...
HID's will come later, one piece at a time...
(budgets only get so big when your 17)
I'm thinking a blackout in the front would look nice, I'm open for opinions there too.

It's really dusty, but here's a pic...

The 05s won't leave a big gap between them and the bumper. They fill the exact same space and even use the same holes in the bottom for the 2 screws in each light. The gap is only changed by how high you adjust your bumper. 05s are a great upgrade or even just the 02-04 are a nice step up and look alot better. I'm not a fan of the black outs and depending on where you are, cops love to give out tickets for blackouts on headlights, even in the day time.

Really? The only reason for the front bumper is the grill?
I thought they were shorter for sure
I'm in the MT, the cops are fairly slack around here, but IDK, I look "stock"
The PIAA's help a lot, but my dad has an 03 w the PIAA"s and there's still a significant difference.

BTW, your rig is awesome!

I have a set of black housing LED lights that I smoked the lenses on... they look pretty killer... 500 plus shipping... I was going to use them, but got a set of ANZO's instead... they were 450 my cost and then 90 a piece to black them out so you are getting a great deal on them if you want them... and they are a one piece design for 99-04 so you wont need any modification what so ever for your truck

Okay, so for options it boils down 05+/ Harley's and After-market/ projectors...
Which would be best light on the road and all around , Especially later with HID's( I don't need a ticket for blinding people)
Are one brand of aftermarket lights better than another(like on ebay, obviously recons kick azz) , and would Bi-exeon be better in the harley housing to keep the HI/LO beams, or run HID.

Ebay 05+ Harley housings, which is better low beam HID, Bi/Xenon HID, or Xenon/Halogen @ 35W 5000K~6000K
I want some serious light at night
Would the Bi/Xenon be better for the long lonely stretches

Well, low only is.. well low only. Bixenon is HID all around, the light just shifts upwards for high beam, and xenon/halogen I believe is HID low, halogen high. Personally, I have a 8000k (slight blue tint, but awsome light output IMO) 55w bixenon digital HID set from retrosolutions.

Thats what I wanted to know....
It's kind of a stupid question to ask that HI beams of the Bixenon would provide a much further beam, but I've read about a lot of people just using the low beams only, and that Xenon/Halogen weren't really that great...
I try and do my research before buying but there is so much BS out there on the web about HID's that's it's all confusing

Looks like i'll be checking out HID's like yours, except for the 05-07 style...
Thanks!
BTW, nice truck
