one thing the BFGs have that most other tires do not have is the thickend bead guard that realy helps save your wheels if you hit a rock or a short curb

My Dad has always had BFG's on everything we've owned but he bought the ProComp AT's because you can get the buy 3 get 1 free and their a little cheaper than the BF's and he has close to 50,000 on them and has loved them! I myself really like them as well, I will be buying a set for my truck later this year. O and we've never had any problem in the snow, mud, etc. very good tire.

I have a set of BFG AT 315/75/16 on mine for about 10,000 miles. I can't even see any wear on them (even with a couple of nice burnouts, lol). One of the best tires out there.

I ran 35" Procomp MT's on my last PSD and the were great in the muck and tread-life was insane. I sold them after 35K and still had almost half the tread-life. I think I could have gotton well over 50K with the MT's, as far as the ProComp AT's should have even better tread-life...

Just put a set of bfg at on my excursion, had them on a suburban, f 150, and several work trucks, have a set of bfg mt on a 68 ford 350 4x4 I have out almost 50,000 on the mt's,, on the f 150 at's I put 55,000 before I sold it. I had a set of pro comps at's on a work truck and shredded them with about 15,000 miles, so my 2 cents is the bfg at's always.. I worked for the forest service for many years so the tires saw off road and 4 wheeling often. I now work at a ski resort, and again alot of 4 wheeling. Snowman

BFG A/T's are great tires but they are awful in red clay mud. They don't clean themselves good.

I've ran BFG A/T's, Procomp A/T's, and Toyo Opencountry A/T's.

I'll rate them like this

#1. BFG A/T

#2. PC A/T

#3. Stock tires

#4. Toyo A/T

I think that gets my point about the Toyo's across.
