I have Michelins on my '99 PSD, but it's 2wd.
I've ALWAYS had BFG AT /KO's on my 4X4's. A 2001 Silverado LT, a 1975 Jeep CJ5 and a 2005 Hummer H2, all have BFG's. I swear by them!

Myself I like wild country txr's they are great in all types of terrian. They have a little bit more open tread then BFG's All terrians. But the rubber compound is harder so they last longer. They are made by Cooper Tire Company.

I have a set of Pro Comp X Terrains on mine and i wish i had never bought them. They dont balance well, and are worn out at 28000 miles. i plan on buying new tires and maybe wheels too soon. thining about Nitto or toyo's. I thnk they are the same or real similar. ANyway, i wouldnt recommend Pro Comp, go with Toyo, Or BFG.

The KO's aren't mud tires, Mud Terrains are. From dry roads to snow to light mud, the KO's rock. I've tried lots of others but haven't found anything I like better. This is my 6th set of KO's.

I have only had Sport King A/Ts and BFG AT's... on my daily driver. They practically the same tire and manufactured by the same parent company and marketed differently. I personally liked the looks of the BFG's better and will continue to put them on my truck because they wear evenly, and last long (75,000 miles on my last set).

Hope this helps...

I have had the Pro Comps, I liked them, but they were soft, and I did not get the miles that I wanted out of them. But they are also cheaper, so I would not expect the best milage out of them.

I have some Procomp A/t's and have 30K on them with basically no wear. BFG's warranty is 40k Procomps gives you 50k. Only thing is you can't just roll up to discount tire and buy them. They will get the from Transamerican wholesale or Procomp direct. I have had alot of BFG's they are a good tire, BUT if you don't rotate them every 6k max, they will cup and be junk much faster than the toyos and the procomps. Nitto really seem to wonder on the road and your lucky to get 30K out of them

i'll second someof the others on the BFGs. On my third set. Only downside to them (the A/Ts) is they will pick up rocks in a rocky road or parking lot a lil worse than some other tires. Good Luck with your decision!
