HID conversion who has done it?

Hey all, Merry xmas and happy hollidays BTW. anyways, I found a very good deal on a new HID setup for my pickup. I have the 03-04 headlights and eventually want to go to the single piece 05-07 lights. Will the HIDs work in the newer style single piece lights? thanks.

no they will not. the 05 newer lights require a h13/9008 bulb. the 03-04 require the 9007 bulb

ok thanks man. Would I be able to just buy new bulbs to fit the 05 headlights and still fit into my HID ballast harness? Do you have HIDs? Im trying to find a good spot to mount the ballasts.

Not sure. I have new clear lights to install with them. Ill post back on here after i get them on.

Got clear headlights, recon clear cab lights, led tail lights, clear led 3rd brake light to put on

I have converted my headlights and foglights to 6000K HID lights. My fog lights are adjusted high enough and bright enough I can drive at night with them and cops don't bother me at all (knock on wood). I love them, one of the best mods I ever did.

I drove around with 8000k HIDs for atleast a year and a half in my Taurus (and they were 55w, BRIGHT as ever) and never once got pulled over. Then I put them in the truck when I got it, had them for like two months or so, and my passenger side housing caught fire (yes, they were in right).. But again, never got pulled over..
